Task Link Copier Chrome Extension — Last updated: March 2025

Summary

Task Link Copier does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data stays on your device. The extension has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.

What data is stored and where

• Settings (default format, language, enabled features) are stored via chrome.storage.sync — encrypted by Chrome and synced across your signed-in devices. No third party has access to this data.
• Debug logs (optional, disabled by default) are stored via chrome.storage.local — on your device only, never synced or transmitted. Logs are automatically capped at 100 entries / 50 KB and can be cleared at any time from the extension settings page. When task title extraction fails, logs may include up to 500 characters of page HTML to help diagnose selector issues. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted.

What the extension accesses

• Active tab URL — only to check whether the current page is a supported task page. The URL is never stored or sent anywhere.
• Page content — only to read the task title displayed on screen so it can be copied to your clipboard. No page content is stored or transmitted.
• Clipboard — write-only access to paste the formatted task link.

Third-party services

None. The extension does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any external service. The settings page includes an optional donation link to DonationAlerts — clicking it opens an external page in a new tab. No data is sent automatically; the link is only followed if you explicitly click it.

Changes to this policy

If the privacy practices change in a future version, this page will be updated and the version number in the extension will be incremented.
